Sime Funeral Home

We were very pleased with the warm care and individualized services we received from Sime Funeral Home in Readstown. Owner John Sime supported us in a "green" Orthodox Christian burial in which our family and friends prepared the body, without embalming, provided the casket, at-home vigil, funeral services in our church, some of the transportation, and burial on our own family farm with no vault. John Sime for his part, provided transport multiple times by hearse, completed all legal paperwork, submitted obituaries to newspapers, and prepared funeral and thank-you cards for a very affordable price. We would highly recommend Sime Funeral Home for a customized funeral experience.

The place was dirty and dusty. The bathrooms were filthy. The coffee/cappacino machine had mold in it. They took life insurance policy and did not do anything. My dad bought his casket, the body was embalmed and dressed in another state, we transported body to funeral and from funeral home to grave site, and we provided and transported all floral arrangement for family. We set up luncheon, the funeral home did not even come. After funeral we had to clean up funeral home and load all our flowers, picture boards, etc. If not picked up they kept it all. A lady even forgot her purse and they did not even contact us. They kept transport carrier for body, which we paid for. At the gravesite the lady from funeral home was talking bad of family, which I overheard being a stepdaughter. We had to do all tge work and they charged my mom all of life insurance policy cause they were on it as beneficiary. Rip off!!! Poor service!!!! Unprofessional!!!! Rate a zero! Should not be in business, not up to code!!
