Petrifying Springs Park

The traditional German biergarten is a great addition to the south end of the park. There are non-alcoholic beverages and some food items for sale. It's near the ball fields and across the street from the dog park. The playgrounds, picnic shelters, golf course and trails make this park a favorite. There is a natural spring for fresh water on the north end of the park. We love to sled down the hills in the winter. And the best part, this park is free to enjoy!

Nice park. They have a dog park too. When we went, they had an inflated water slide for the little ones. The snack stand (a.k.a. "Biergarten") offers beer (deposit for glass mug or you can bring your own), brats, pretzels, bottled water, etc. I didn't use it, but there were complaints about the poor condition of the portable toilet.
