We had a very disappointing experience at this service station in Neenah, WI. We drive by the Neenah Standard BP station every day on our way to work and decided to try to get an oil change at this establishment on December 16, 2015. As we started the transaction, we asked for the wiper blades to be replaced as well on our 2011 Mazda CX-9. Upon completion of the service, the vehicle was drove out of the shop by the technicians, we paid for the service, and got in the vehicle and drove away.
As we drove away, we noticed that we had a cracked windshield that we did not have prior to having the wiper blades replaced. Since we were on our lunch break, we had to get back to work, but we called immediately upon returning to work to explain that we had a cracked windshield.
After the first call, we were told the guys replacing the windshield said they “did not snap the wipers” so didn’t feel they broke the windshield. We were told they could watch the video and call the Manager, which we asked them to do. We were asked to stop back so they could see the cracked windshield. We did that after work and they looked at it, said they’d call the manager who “said he’d come down when we got back”. The service person looked at it and while on the phone with the manager, said the manager was now NOT going to come down to look. The service person took pictures and said the manager would call the following day.
"Today" came and went and we were not contacted. The windshield crack got progressively worse throughout the day/night so we called our insurance company and had it replaced. The crack got worse throughout that initial day and then the BP guy took pictures when we had returend, so they were able to see how it progressed (indicating a fresh crack).
We've escalated this to corporate BP and hope it can get resolved. As of now, I cannot recommend this service station and have begun communicating this to friends, family and co-workers.
