Well, $300 is a lot of money for a 40 minute semi annual teeth cleaning, including x-rays, (actual time cleaning my teeth was about 22 minutes) especially since I am a cash client. My hygienist did not ask if I wished to have x-rays done at this time, she just proceeded to do them without my consent. Again, I was "sticker shocked" by the price even though the service was excellent. I was offered by front staff an annual price of around $450 (if I remember the price correctly) that included two cleanings and one annual x-ray. I actually bought this package last year and used the credit for one cleaning and one x-ray but am not sure that I received a fair deal because of my most recent experience of x-rays being charged without my consent. Buyer beware if you are paying cash: ask in advance for a price menu, especially how much the x-rays will cost and if they are absolutely necessary. Please disregard this review if your insurance or someone else pays 100% for your dental maintenance.
I have been a patient here for over ten years and each time has been an amazing experience. Everyone is so nice and really helps if you are nervous. They are very compassionate and caring people. I will never go to another dentist!
It’s important to be an informed consumer and to be aware of costs associated with unnecessary dental procedures and unnecessary drilling of teeth. If you find yourself paying a lot of out-of-pocket expenses and having fillings/procedures recommended at nearly every visit, seek a second opinion.
