Merrimac Free Ferry

It's free, which is the best part. It only take about 7 minutes to get across, but on the Summer weekends if you're not there very early or late plan to not get to the other side for 30 minutes to an hour. Could be longer. Definitely worth it to take that time to check out the shops on either side of the lake. Want to get off first? Get in the lane that will put you on the East side of the Ferry. Have a motorcycle? Don't wait in line and pull up in the bicycle side. Just make sure to pull to the side and not take the spot of a vehicle.

A must to see if you visit the devil's from the south. But you might need to wait for half an hour if the weather is too nice and everyone wants to go out.

It would be better if the drivers would load & unload a little more strategically, but it's free so...
