Stopped in after reading a lot of great reviews. I can't say that either me or my wife were as impressed as some of the other reviewers though.
I ordered the Smokehouse burger with lettuce, tomato, bacon, pepper jack cheese, and jalapenos, for a somewhat expensive $14 burger (sliced jalapenos are $1 to give you an example of the pricing).
I was asked if I wanted it pink or not pink, which is not very precise, which should have been an indicator I should have not ordered a $14 burger here. For my side I ordered fries, the picture on the menu looked like hand cut fries, which I started craving.
The food came out and looked good, but the fries were clearly not fresh. I expect fries to be cooked to order, not pulled from a heap under a heat lamp. They were lukewarm, limp, and dried out. And the burger, it was cooked to medium-well side and was not juicy at all. Flavor was good but a dry burger.
My wife ordered the Lobster brisket cheese steak. It was covered with what appeared to be canned or jarred nacho cheese sauce. My wife said that's all she could taste and that the flavor of the brisket, lobster, and cheese sauce didn't really go together at all. The coleslaw was fine, although swimming in mayo.
My wife had dropped her napkin and when our server stopped over to check on us, we told her we needed more napkins. She said sure and never came back. My wife had cheese sauce dripping from her hands and some on her nose (I dabbed that off with my napkin) and she just got up and grabbed some from the hostess stand herself.
The service thereafter was slow until we left. No refills offered until we were already done (and had had empty glasses for a while), and waited way too long for the check and the server to pick it up.
I saw vans outside for catering, so apparently they do catering as well. I've seen in the past restaurants start to change their operations on the restaurant side after beginning catering, maybe the fries is an example of that.
All in all, it wasn't bad, but nothing special at all. Wouldn't go out of my way to stop back.
