Attended a retreat from Friday evening through Sunday afternoon at the Watson Retreat Center, one of the buildings at Lutherdale Bible Camp. This is a Lutheran camp, but secular groups are welcome to use their retreat center.
The bedrooms are comfortable with decent beds and linens. The main meeting room is a lovely space with windows facing a wooded lot, high ceilings and a fireplace! But what I really want to highlight is the food. Our group had a lot of various food requirements (vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, soy-free, dairy free, etc.) and Mike and Holly and the rest of the kitchen staff did an amazing job of accommodating all these variables. They grow much of their own produce (we had their home made marinara!) and have a fair salad bar. We have a small budget and the price is right.
I recommend this place for holding overnight retreats. Heads up though, groups share the dining space with other people using the bible camp. This isn't a big deal, but you should know in advance that they say grace before meals. Secular groups are welcome to participate or sit it out.
