It's a wonderful place to go swimming! The water is shallow for a good distance out past the beach and a nice even grade as it gets deeper. Very kid friendly with a sandy beach and a play ground up by the shelter house. There are swings on the beach. Sunset is gorgeous on the lake and the views around are lovely! The only caveats are the pit toilets and how busy it can get at the beach on hot days.
