Built a house with Kaerek a number of years ago and it was the worst experience of my life. Doorways were out of square, moldings had to be ripped down to fit improperly framed entryways, windows were very drafty, holes were punched in the floor joists (instead of cut) for plumbing, attic entry cut in wrong place in ceiling and had to be patched which was very noticeable, not enough gap left in moldings to accommodate ceramic tile and moldings left with shredded ends when improperly up cut, whirlpool in master bath caused sag in floor when filled with water, sawdust throughout the house do to hardwood floors being cut inside house and not outside as they should have been, topsoil removed from lot and not replaced. The expeditor I dealt with was a real idiot. He told me when I complained about these issues that if I didn't like it I could walk away and lose my $10,000.00 deposit. It was a constant struggle to deal with these guys and a real battle to get them to correct the shoddy workmanship. Whenever you wanted to make a change you are charged a change order fee. Several of the issues I had to correct myself at my expense. I spent over $2000.00 alone to get fill and top soil hauled in and proper grading of lot completed. In my opinion, one of the worst builders out there and they dont really care about you as a customer. I highly recommend you consider another builder other than Kaerek Homes, Inc.
