Absolutely terrible experience. They had my car for over a week and in all that time never once took the intiative to call me, I always had to call them. I have a 2005 kia sorento and the bolt broke off on the cam pully which is a farely common problem for these cars I guess. Girards had my car from thursday to saturday and never called me about what they were doing with the car. I called them multiple times during this interval and everytime they gave me no answer on my car and sounded disinterested in fixing it.
Finally I called them on saturday and got a so-so answer about my car that amounted to 'we don't want to take the time to tap out whats left of the bolt so we suggest a new engine'.
Completely bull answer and after finally towing it home and looking at it myself I don't understand how they thought it was to much work to get out. At my job as a printer I've seen plenty of snapped bolts, ones way worse than this, that we got out in a couple hours. The bolt in question is at most recessed half an inch and while the end is irregular it could be buffed out to make for a smoother surface to do the tap.
Don't go here!
