5 Jan 05, 2018 Nate Heuss Road to tower is closed with a gate. You can climb lookout mountain via ice age trail. Park at nearby ATV trailhead. 1.6 mile hike. It's a nice hike. I've heard that the view from the fire tower is phenomenal.
