This is an excellent hotel, and maybe one of the best Country Inn and Suites we’ve stayed in. We arrived late to check-in (around midnight). We check-in late at hotels mostly because of the nature of our work; I always brace myself for the grumpy, half-asleep, despondent hotel clerk. The clerk at this hotel, however, was amazing. She was extremely friendly and joked around with us; we felt welcomed. Good start to the trip. The room was perfect—two queens, a spacious tub, nicely decorated. I went for a walk in the morning around the area. It is in a developing suburb of Milwaukee but there are bike and walking trails all around it, so I was very happy. There are grocery stores and restaurants right there too, though we didn’t need to use those. I will finish by saying the free continental breakfast was the best I have ever had. Again, eaten lots of free continental breakfasts ranging from a packaged pastry to the classic waffle that I am still uncertain how to exactly make. This hotel’s breakfast beats them all. There were all the classic items there—bagels, muffins, fruit, the waffle thingy, etc.—and there were amazing breakfast potatoes (spiced perfectly), scrambled eggs (actually fluffy!) and even already premade oatmeal. Highly recommend this hotel if you are going to the Milwaukee area. It is right off of 94, west of the city, so if you live in Madison or the Twin Cities, it will even shorten your drive:)
While we’ve stayed at pretty much every chain of hotel (and motel) imaginable we’ve never stayed at a Country Inn. First of all, this was not in the country - right across from plenty of shopping options in a great location. For dining there are two restaurants connected to the hotel. Breakfast here is top notch with real unmicrowaved eggs and other assorted hot breakfast meats and taters. Fast and friendly check in and awesome swimming pool and hot tub open till midnight. Decor was warm and reminded me of home. I really liked the heat lamp in the bathroom; a rare commodity in a modern hotel. This is a massive property with plenty of parking for large vehicles with trailers. After our pleasant stay I’m excited to try out other Country Inn locations to see if they are just as rad. We’re grateful for the hospitality.
