At first I was impressed with their service. They worked with me while I obtained a home equity loan to cover the unexpected replacement when our old boiler failed.
However, after the fact I learned that they never took out the required permits with New Berlin and we had all kinds of problems with the City getting that rectified.
The bigger (and still ongoing) issue is that they apparently never registered the extended warrantee (taking coverage thru 2018) for which I paid an additional $325. I went through numerous rounds of calls, emails and letters in 2009 to theoretically rectify this. I was so frustrated by the process that I shifted to another company for any maintenance and service work. In June of 2015 I needed some warrantee work and learned that Becker apparently had not completed the last steps of the warrantee paperwork after all and Weil-McLain would not honor it. Actually got ahold of Kim Becker (who handles all the office work) and she agreed to reimburse me for the repairs. This was needed again in September 2015 for another warrantee issue. Since then she has absolutely refused to respond to phone calls or emails. If they never processed the paperwork in time for Weil-McLain to honor it, Becker could at least tell me that they will cover any needed repairs for the rest of the warrantee period, but they refuse to respond. An unbelievably unprofessional and irresponsible response to this problem. I have a record of over 20 attempted contacts since June and no final resolution.
I also learned that some problems I have had with the system over the years are due to some poor installation choices and quality of work.
I would highly recommend against hiring them for any job.
