How does one review a state natural area? There's certainly lots of nature here, but it really depends on what you're looking for. I will say Badfish is generally quiet; I visited on a Saturday afternoon and didn't see a soul. There are miles of road that follow riparian (waterway) corridors here, which brings a nice variety and interest. The creeks are all very straight, giving them a human-made feel (I don't know the history), but it's nice to be around water all the same. The explorer will find woodlots, planted fields, lots of tall grass meadows as you walk the double-track grid. The "road" itself ranges from clear, flat gravel to rough, unclear field track that sometimes reduces to faint lines in the grass. So it feels natural; this is not a city park. Bring your dog or a friend or a gang of kids and remember this is active hunting land and a dog training area.
