(Taking lessons since fall '15; reviewing for myself, not kids)
Fun, professional, and challenging.
I had not taken lessons for probably 15-16 years. Benny took my goals, and gives me step-by-step instructions for how to practice not just for weekly practice, but on the grander scale...uh, no pun intended. I picked up the piano again about a year ago, and I've learned probably twice as fast working with him.
When I started meeting goals and noticeably improving, he began to introduce new concepts, pieces, composers, styles, and challenged me to expand my horizons.
He's used technology to effectively serve/supplement teaching too... there is a LOT more that can be done now than when I was growing up.
These are not your friendly grandmother piano lessons!
Appleton is lucky to have someone of this caliber teaching full time.
